Who this program is for

The Full Stack Bootcamp is for developers who are already building things, but want to go deeper. You’ve shipped at least one application. You can read most JavaScript code without looking things up. You’re ready to learn the parts of the stack that scare junior developers — and become someone who isn’t scared by them.

Most participants come directly from the Web & AI Bootcamp. We also accept developers with equivalent self-taught experience who want to fill in gaps.

The historical Full Stack Bootcamp

CodeWeekend has previously run six-month Full Stack programs, most notably the 2021 cohort that started October 23rd with 75 participants with support from Scrimba, and the 2022 cohort that admitted 30 students from 250+ applications with scholarship support from Hackajob.

What you’ll learn

Months 1–2 — The backend in depth

Node.js, Python, and Go — pick one as a primary, get conversational with the other two. Web servers, routing, middleware, authentication, error handling. Database design: relational fundamentals, normalization, indexing, transactions. Document and key-value databases. ORMs and when to bypass them.

Months 3–4 — Systems thinking

What happens when a single server stops being enough. Caching strategies. Queueing for asynchronous work. Observability: logging, metrics, tracing. Designing for failure. Reading the systems design problems you’d actually be asked in a senior interview.

Month 5 — DevOps and infrastructure

Docker. Container orchestration. CI/CD pipelines. Infrastructure as code (Terraform basics). Monitoring and alerting. The shape of a production deployment, end to end.

Month 6 — Capstone & senior-track interview prep

A six-week capstone, typically with a partner organization needing real engineering work. Senior-level system design interviews. Behavioral interview prep at the depth a senior role requires.

When the next cohort runs

The Full Stack Bootcamp is currently between cohorts as we focus on the 2026 Web & AI program for women and girls in Afghanistan. Express interest below to be notified when the next Full Stack cohort opens.

The CodeWeekend Promise

What every learner can count on, always.

A named, structural commitment to every student we accept. Not aspirational language — operational guarantees.

  • Live instruction, every session. No pre-recorded videos, no asynchronous-only modules. Every class is taught live by a working developer.
  • A cohort that goes through it with you. You are never learning alone. Pair programming, peer code reviews, and a community that does not go quiet after graduation.
  • Mentorship from people who ship. Cohorts are staffed by working engineers and dedicated female mentors from Afghanistan and abroad. They share their professional experiences and answer the questions only practice can produce.
  • Free for participants. Through partnerships with the Linda Norgrove Foundation, Hackajob, Scrimba, and others, the program is free for those accepted — including scholarships, internet packages, and laptops where needed.
